Caius

Caius (pronounced kai-us) is the keyboardist of Cremated Chaos. You may also know him as Mothman. He doesn’t really know where he came from or how he exists, nor does anyone else for that matter. His earliest memory was when he was roaming around the boarder of West Virginia around 1966 observing humans. He never approached them, but his eyes glow bright red, so he wound up being spotted several times. Cypress and Ramona sought him out after hearing about the incident regarding the famous collapse of silver bridge, and slowly helped him become a refined gentleman to blend in. Cypress took Caius to the same mad scientist that made his contacts, and the scientist made Caius a mask to make him feel more comfortable around humans. Ramona taught him how to communicate in sign language, speak in a few verbal languages and read and write, during which, she discovered that Caius has a very keen sense of hearing. Caius can replicate almost anything he hears instantly with his voice and on his keyboard which he especially loves to put into synth mode.
He doesn’t understand social cues that well and he may appear stalker-ish at first, but he usually has no malicious intent behind it. If he’s following someone, it’s often because he’s intrigued by them/their behaviors or he sees something on their person that he wants to touch and observe up close (usually shiny things, glowy things or anything with interesting textures). He loves reading poetry, flying around at night, collecting bones and taxidermy that he finds intriguing, and roaming through graveyards to read the gravestones of those who’ve passed to learn more about humans. Caius loves new wave goth music and fashion. Some of his favorite bands are Joy Division, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, The Cramps and most of all, The Cure. Caius also has an obsession with the famous Elvira as he feels she would not only accept him but that she’d understand him too.
